This series of paintings was inspired by my move to Brooklyn, where I walked and cycled around the DUMBO area as I settled into a new urban landscape. There is something magical about this historic industrial hub with its industrial facilities

and warehouses, which project an artistically happening and hip vibe. For each scene, I began a study with charcoal drawings, then watercolor, after which I transferred it into an oil painting.
