Boris Lyubner is an award-winning advertising and business communications illustrator for Fortune 500 clients. After a 20-year career, he now applies his professional know-how as a university art instructor. At the same time, he continues to reinvent himself as a fine artist, drawing and painting a variety of subjects from direct observation.
His current pursuits include commissioned portraiture, to which he brings the same creative integrity as he did for corporate clients. In close collaboration with clients, he strives to understand their goals and personal taste as he creates enduring family heirlooms.
Lyubner offers a diverse range of styles and price points in different media, such as oil, watercolor, airbrush painting, and even iPad drawings.
In addition, for his clients’ convenience, he accepts commissions through three different options:
a. SUSTAINED PORTRAITS, where he works either from reference photos only or in combination with real-life posing sessions
b. EVENTS PORTRAITS, which can range from a quick 5-10 minute portrait from life in graphite, charcoal or iPad drawings during special events (weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties, family reunion and celebrations, corporate meeting and fundraising) to up to three-hour-long sitting for oil and watercolor studies
c. PET PORTRAITS, which use client-provided photos to capture a beloved pet’s character
